Aim of this summer school that will take place in France, at the University of Science and Technology of Lille (USTL), is to provide an interdisciplinary overview on Neuroplasticity adopting Behavioural, Molecular and Proteomic Approaches. There will be several sessions dedicated to Molecular mechanisms in Neuroplasticity. One session will focus on animal models of chronic stress in order to investigate the influence of stress on cerebral plasticity during the lifetime.
This Summer School is intended for advanced PhD students and post-docs from Psychology, Biology, Physiology, Medical Chemistry and Bioinformatics schools specialising in neurosciences.
Location Espace Culture, USTL, France
The course will cover the following aspects
Molecular targets in neuroplasticity research
Aging, cognition and neuroplasticity
Stress and neuroplasticity: animal models
Course Credits 3 ECTS plus 2 extra for the written dissertation, if chosen.
Fundings The Lille Summer School in Neurosciences is supported by the University of Science and Technology of Lille, the Regional Council, the French Ministry of Research, and it takes place under the auspices of the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.
